# Update Safety Net Mailbox

Switches the Safety Net on or off for a single integration mailbox.

The update is idempotent — re-sending the current state succeeds and changes nothing. When the same address was synced from more than one integration, the toggle applies to the address as a whole, exactly as it does in the app.


Switches the Safety Net on or off for a single integration mailbox, by its `id` from [List Safety Net Mailboxes](/reference/list-safety-net-mailboxes).

The update is **idempotent** — re-sending the current state succeeds and changes nothing, so you can safely sync a desired state without reading first. The response is the mailbox in its new state, in the same shape as [Get Safety Net Mailbox](/reference/get-safety-net-mailbox).

When the same address was synced from more than one integration, the toggle applies to the address as a whole — exactly as it does in the app.
