# Getting Started

The Allegrow Email Validation API provides real-time and asynchronous email validation services to help improve deliverability and reduce bounce rates.

The API offers three validation options:

* **[Synchronous validation](/reference/validate-email)** (`/v1/email/validate`) - Receive the validation result in the same call
* **[Asynchronous validation](/reference/validate-email-async)** (`/v1/email/validate-async`) - Submit validation requests and receive results via webhook
* **[Bulk CSV validation](/reference/bulk-csv-overview)** (`/v1/email/validate-file`) - Upload a CSV file and validate all emails in bulk

Single-email responses (sync, polling, and async webhook) include the headline `result.status` alongside a `domain` object (with `name`, `mxProvider`, `mxRecords`, and `isCatchAll`) and a `mailbox` object (with `isRoleAccount`) — signals you can use for downstream decisions.
